I met Jeff around 10 years ago, as a result of my daughter Zoe getting wed to his nephew Jay. We met socially at various family gatherings, usually chatting over a glass or two of fine ale, or as I recall, the odd drop of red wine. I always found Jeff interesting to talk to, intelligent, witty, and always with a good knowledge of world events. He was one of life's true gentlemen and will be sadly missed. I know he was immensly proud of his family, and my thoughts go out to Pat, Gemma and Matt. Best wishes, Pete
